Job Description

A community-focused organization is seeking a motivated and personable Spanish Leasing Agent to join its team. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, values strong relationships, and is committed to delivering outstanding customer service while supporting leasing success. This role is an important part of creating an exceptional experience for both current and prospective residents. The ideal candidate understands the importance of making every interaction welcoming, helpful, and memorable.

This position is especially well-suited for someone with prior customer service experience, ideally in leasing, property management, hospitality, retail, or another people-focused environment. Previous leasing experience is preferred but not required. Spanish fluency is required to effectively communicate with and support a diverse resident community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet prospective residents and learn about their needs through thoughtful questions and conversation.
  • Respond to phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries in a friendly, timely, and professional manner.
  • Accurately document all prospect interactions and maintain organized records using designated systems.
  • Conduct community and apartment tours, highlighting features and amenities that best fit each prospect’s lifestyle and preferences.
  • Guide prospects through the leasing and application process, answering questions and ensuring all required information is collected.
  • Assist with processing applications, obtaining supporting documentation, and preparing lease paperwork.
  • Maintain current knowledge of apartment availability, pricing, and community offerings.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure homes are prepared and ready for scheduled move-ins.
  • Welcome new residents and provide a thorough introduction to the community, amenities, and important information.
  • Support lease renewals by communicating with residents and assisting with follow-up as needed.
  • Maintain accurate files, reports, and resident records in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist with resident communications, community updates, and day-to-day office support.
  • Participate in outreach efforts, marketing initiatives, and community events to help build a strong sense of community.

Community & Culture Expectations

  • Treat all residents, prospects, and team members with professionalism, respect, and empathy.
  • Create a positive, welcoming environment that reflects a commitment to excellent service.
  • Listen carefully to resident concerns and work collaboratively to help resolve issues.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Contribute to a team-oriented environment and support coworkers when needed.
  • Participate in team meetings, share ideas, and help maintain a positive and productive workplace culture.
  • Take an active role in resident events and activities that encourage engagement and community connection.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable using phones, computers, email, and Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to stay organized, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive, professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred; leasing or property management experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is required.
