Plains Grain & Agronomy Cooperative (PGAg) is seeking self-motivated, trustworthy, detailed oriented, skilled individuals to operate spreader, deep bander and/or sprayer. Individuals are responsible for the operation of sprayers, spreaders and deep banders and the effective application of crop protection or fertilizers. Along with helping maintain the daily function of PGAg.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Operate and maintain all equipment and vehicles (sprayers, spreaders, trucks, etc.)
· Mixing, loading and application of crop protection/fertilizers.
· Apply crop protection and fertilizers at applicable rates to the appropriate fields.
· Handle and deliver chemicals and fertilizers while following company safety and guidelines.
· Perform daily inspections, clean, and maintain equipment while following company safety and guidelines.
· Communicate with management, sales and operation teams on changing conditioned and unexpected field observations to meet deadlines.
· Keep application records and logs
· Meet peak demand hours.
· Ensure accurate product application according to work orders, field maps and agronomic recommendations.
· Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
· Ability to lift 50lbs.
· 2 years applicating experience.
· Knowledge of seed, chemical and fertilizer to make informed decisions.
· Pesticide Certification or ability to obtain.
· Communication, organization, and mechanical skills are preferred.
Preferred Skills / Experience / Certifications
· A.S. Degree in Agricultural field or equivalent experience.
· Forklift Certification.
· Experience in Agvance, JD Operation Center, Kahler Automation Software, etc.
