Interior Designer

St.Clair Kitchens is a boutique kitchen design firm and cabinet distributor in Alexandria VA. Our focus is primarily on high end custom kitchen design however we are expanding to offer more comprehensive interior design services. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced candidate with a passion for design to join our team and hit the ground running.

Design Associate Responsibilities:

• Assist lead designer with all facets of design and proposal process
• Meet with customers and conduct design consultations
• Creating project proposals and design presentations
• Creating detailed design plans using Chief Architect
• Making site visits prior to design and during installation
• Meeting with clients in-office and on-site as needed
• Helping clients with style, color and finish selections
• Manage FFE and scheduling

Qualifications:

• Candidate must have minimum of 4 years of residential kitchen design experience
• Candidate must be proficient with residential design software, preferably 20/20 Design or Chief Architect
• Ability to read building plans and scale drawings
• Strong work ethic, organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time to meet deadlines
• Personable with strong customer service and time management skills
• Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines
• Maintain highest levels of professionalism when interacting with clients
