Job Description

At Balanced Awakening, we do things differently. We are a boutique, psychologist-led psychotherapy practice with a heart-centered, growth-oriented culture where clinicians are supported in doing deep, meaningful work — without burnout.

We are entering an exciting phase of expansion and are seeking a Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT ) who is passionate about meaningful clinical work, values alignment and sustainability, and desires a well-supported, abundant practice environment. Licensed psychologists are encouraged to view our separate Clinical Psychologist posting for a role tailored specifically to doctoral-level training and leadership opportunities.

We are especially excited to connect with  licensed clinicians who are well-established in their clinical work and are seeking a more supported, values-aligned environment for the next phase of their practice.

This role is particularly well-suited for clinicians who value autonomy, strong infrastructure, and long-term sustainability in their practice.

WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT THIS ROLE

A Purposeful, Sustainable Caseload

Enjoy a consistent and fulfilling caseload of 25+ psychotherapy clients per week , supported by a highly organized admin team, allowing you to focus on clinical work rather than administrative logistics.

Abundance Is Our Mindset

As part of onboarding, you’ll receive a Mindvalley Membership and complete the  Rapid Transformational Hypnotherapy for Abundance Quest , supporting both personal and professional expansion from the start.

Specialty-Focused, Depth-Oriented Practice

Align your clinical work with our core focus areas, including  somatic therapy, trauma recovery, maternal mental health, art therapy, positive psychology, and relationship therapy , while continuing to develop your own areas of expertise.

Couples Work (Optional)

If you’re drawn to couples therapy, we support training in Imago Relationship Therapy — no prior experience required, just curiosity and interest.

A Supportive, Values-Aligned Culture

Be part of a connected, collaborative team that values joy, authenticity, clinical excellence, and aligned growth .

Thought Leadership (Optional)

For clinicians who enjoy sharing their voice, there are opportunities to contribute through writing, media, and educational content , allowing you to build visibility, credibility, and impact beyond the therapy room.

Compensation:

$75,000 - $95,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our warm and organized admin team to support and maintain a full-time caseload of 25+ weekly psychotherapy clients

  • Take part in abundance-focused onboarding , including completing the RTT for Abundance Quest via Mindvalley
  • Contribute to our culture of joy, abundance, and authenticity , staying connected to the work that lights you up
Qualifications:
  • Licensed as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois
  • 2+ years of clinical experience preferred; private practice experience strongly valued
  • Comfortable sustaining a 25+ client caseload with administrative support
  • Strong clinical judgment, ethical grounding, and clear professional boundaries
  • Growth-oriented with an interest in ongoing personal and professional development
  • Alignment with our core values: abundance, authenticity, & connection
  • Willingness to engage in a collaborative practice culture through meetings, consultation, and optional thought leadership or content contribution
