Job Summary

This position will be an integral part of our medical technology company that is responsible for the assembly of medical devices. The position requires assisting the teams in building mechanical & electrical parts and assemblies.

Responsibilities :

  • Performs daily tasks as directed by Supervisor or Lead Personnel.
  • Must be able to work with limited oversight and supervision.
  • Must follow and adhere to manufacturing documents and work instructions.
  • Must clearly follow directions and apply best work practices for assembly of product based on engineering and regulatory guidelines.
  • Performs all pertinent manufacturing assembly and quality procedures.
  • Gathers all parts, tools, and supplies needed to perform a particular job.
  • Can perform necessary testing required for projects as requested by Engineering personnel.
  • Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related activities as needed.

Qualifications :

  • 2-5 years of experience as an Assembler in the Medical Device or equivalent manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a clean room environment (ISO 7/8) and familiar with associated gowning requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with assembly of micro-scale components and under a microscope.
  • Experience using UV glue dispensing and UV curing equipment.
  • Ability to operate basic manufacturing equipment like heat sealers and leak testers.
  • Experience with following and completing manufacturing travelers/DHR’s for the assembly of product.
  • Effective reading, writing and communication skills.
  • Experience with kitting and packaging of finished product.

Required Skills :

  • Soldering experience, a plus.
  • Computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office.

Physical requirements/Work Environment

This position is in Irvine, CA.

This position primarily works in a manufacturing and clean room environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. May stand for extended periods depending on the manufacturing process being performed.

*Compensation decided and based upon experience and education - this range includes the starting hourly pay for level 1 to top of level 2. The range for Manufacturing Associate I is: $22-$25/hour. The range for Manufacturing Associate II is: $25-$28/hour.
