Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and customer-oriented Tableau Developer to join the Information Technology Division of the Department of Health and Human Services in Raleigh, NC. This hybrid role involves developing and maintaining Tableau dashboards, administering Tableau Server, providing training and support to users, and collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver effective business intelligence solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and support Tableau dashboards and reports.
• Administer and provide operational support for Tableau Server.
• Serve as a centralized "center of excellence" for Tableau usage within the organization.
• Manage and support the internal Tableau user group and engage with key business stakeholders.
• Provide training and consultation to staff on Tableau best practices and development.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective Tableau solutions.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Business Intelligence software development and maintenance.
• At least 2 years of hands-on Tableau development experience.
• 1-3 years of Tableau Server administration experience in an enterprise environment.
• Expert knowledge of Tableau development practices, techniques, and standards.
• Proficiency with data management, SQL, and SaaS platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and understand requirements.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in a government or public health environment.
• Familiarity with advanced Tableau features and integrations.
• Additional certifications in Tableau or related BI tools.

Special Considerations:

• Role requires hybrid work arrangement.
• Must be able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Scheduling:

• Regular shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
• Position duration is 12+ months with possibility of extension.
