TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) – Psychiatric (Psych) to provide compassionate and specialized care to patients with mental health disorders. This role involves assessing mental health conditions, administering medications, implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with psychiatrists and therapists to support patients in achieving emotional stability and recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients’ mental health status, emotional well-being, and risk factors
  • Administer psychotropic medications and monitor for side effects
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to manage psychiatric symptoms
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when needed
  • Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment plans, and coping strategies
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate patient records, progress notes, and care plans
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, mental health laws, and ethical nursing practices

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a psychiatric, behavioral health, or mental health setting preferred
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) preferred
  • Strong ability to de-escalate crises and provide patient-centered mental health care
  • Excellent communication, observation, and problem-solving skills
