Medical Receptionist

Location: St. Louis Park, MN

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Job Type: Contract (6 Months)

Pay Rate: $25.16/hour

About the Role

We are seeking customer-focused and dependable Medical Receptionists to join a busy specialty healthcare team. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy helping others, excel in a fast-paced environment, and are looking to build or expand their healthcare experience.

The primary responsibility will be handling inbound patient calls, scheduling appointments, coordinating follow-up visits, and completing patient registration. Depending on business needs, candidates may also have the opportunity to cross-train and assist with front desk operations.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming patient calls in a professional and compassionate manner
• Schedule new patient appointments and follow-up visits
• Complete patient registration and update patient information accurately
• Assist patients with questions regarding appointments and clinic services
• Document information accurately within electronic medical record systems
• Maintain a high level of customer service while managing multiple priorities
• Collaborate with clinic staff to support efficient patient scheduling and workflow
• Cross-train and assist with front desk check-in activities as needed

Qualifications

Required:

• Previous customer service experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain patient, professional, and empathetic when assisting patients
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems

Preferred:

• Healthcare customer service or medical office experience
• Experience using Epic or other electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Previous call center, scheduling, or patient registration experience

This is a Contract position based out of St. Louis Park, MN.

The pay range for this position is $25.16 - $25.16/hr.
