Position : Registered Nurse (RN) – Hospice

Location : Basking Ridge, NJ 07920

Job Type : Contract

Contract : 13 weeks with strong possibility of extension

Schedule: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Every other weekend required)

Guaranteed hours per week : 37.50

Pay: Local $2300 Travel$2500/ weekly

Job Summary

Pride Health is seeking an experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract opportunity in Basking Ridge, NJ. The RN will provide compassionate end-of-life care, coordinate patient care plans, and work closely with interdisciplinary teams to support patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments to determine hospice care needs
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients and families
• Provide direct nursing care and monitor patient progress toward care goals
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members and participate in IDT meetings
• Educate patients and families using age-appropriate teaching methods
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete assessments within required timelines
• Manage medications safely and perform medication reconciliation
• Supervise home health aides according to care standards
• Maintain infection control practices and ensure a safe environment for patients

Requirements

• Active New Jersey RN License
• BLS Certification required
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in a home hospice environment
• Experience with EMR systems
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years RN experience
• Previous GIP hospice experience in a hospital setting
